Join our Saturday intensive to learn some of the greatest Balboa moves of all times!
Taking inspiration from Maxie Dorf, Hal and Marge Takier, Betty Takier (Roeser), Jack Helwig.
We’ll break down the basic components and put them together, and also see how we can play with those individual parts or change a sequence to fit the music and/or vary our dance repertoire.
LEVEL:
The classes are vaguely Intermediate level and above.
Requirements for Class 1:
- can dance up-hold and down-hold Pure Bal basics and some ad-libs socially
- can dance lollies and out-and-ins socially
- being familiar with swivels in some form would be helpful
Requirements for Class 2:
- can dance up-hold and down-hold Pure Bal basics and some ad-libs socially
- can dance lollies and out-and-ins socially
- can dance throw-out/toss-out socially
- being familiar with multiple turns will be helpful
